The 2012 Pittsburgh Chinese Community New Year Celebration is on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012. This is the biggest celebration event in the Pittsburgh Area Chinese Community. Many groups will perform on the stage. Please mark your calendar and come to this wonderful event.
Time: 6:50 pm - 9:00 pm, Sunday, Jan. 15th, 2012

Admission: The event is FREE to all CAST-P members and their family. FREE for kids under 16.
For non member adult: $5/Regular Ticket, $20/VIP Ticket

ガンバレ Japan! (日本加油!) Ganbare Nippon Benefit Concert
A benefit concert will be held on Saturday,
April 16, 7:00 pm at North Allegheny Senior High School in Wexford, PA
to raise funds for the victims of the Japanese 3/11 earthquake and tsunami.
Organizers of the event include:
OCA Pittsburgh, Yanlai Dance Academy, CAST-Pittsburgh,
Pittsburgh Chinese Restaurant Association,
Win-Win Kung Fu Cultural Center,
and Silk Screen: Asian Arts and Cultural Organization.
The concert will feature
Japanese performers; Chinese, Korean and Indian dances;
Pan-Asian cultural music; and a martial arts demonstration.
General admission is $15 per person.
V.I.P. tickets are available for $25.
Advance tickets can be purchased through

All net proceeds will be donated to Tsunami Relief funds at the Tzu Chi
Foundation and Brother's Brother Foundation.

We are pleased to announce the coming Chinese New Year Celebration event co-organized by CAST-P and Pittsburgh Chinese School, will be held on February 5th. A large group of local Chinese artists and students will present a stage performance for celebrating our traditional holiday.

The event is free and open to all of our members. This is one of the most important opportunities for us to introduce Chinese culture to our children, friends, co-workers and neighbors. We will have our annual Thanksgiving event on Saturday, November 20, from 4:00pm – 7:30pm. The event will start with networking, and then followed by a seminar, discussion and a Chinese dinner. Here is the agenda:

4:00pm – 5:00pm Networking, Refreshment and Drink will be provided
5:00pm – 6:00pm Seminar: The Best Way to Buy, Maintain and Sell A House
6:00pm – 7:30pm Dinner and CASTP Annual Strategy Discussion led by all Board Members

Costs: $8/adult and $3/kid
(If you register before Nov.17, the cost will be $5/adult and $3/kid)
Childcare program will be provided from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. The kids at the age from 2 to 6 will be taken care in one room. The kids above 6 will be in another room under watch. They are welcome to bring board games to play during that time.
Monice Ming Tong will be our key speaker. She has been serving the Metropolitan Pittsburgh area since 1993.
